Dear Podcast Italiano.
Sei mai stato a Roma? Roma, come sicuramente sai, è la capitale d’Italia ed è una città molto vecchia e storica.
Have you ever been to Rome? Rome, as you certainly know, is the capital of Italy and is a very old and historic city.
A Roma ci sono tante rovine di edifici costruiti ai tempi degli antichi romani. Sicuramente conosci il colosseo. È forse uno dei luoghi più famosi al mondo.
There are many ruins of buildings (that were) built at the time of the Ancient Romans. Certainly you know the coliseum.It’s probably one of the most famous places in the world.
Ma oltre al colosseo ci sono tanti altri posti famosi in tutto il mondo: il pantheon, piazza Navona, la fontana di Trevi, la Basilica di San Pietro.
But apart from the Coliseum there are lots of other places (that are) famous all over the world: the pantheon, piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain, St. Peter’s Basilica.
Di Roma, oltre alla storia, mi piace anche che ci sono molti parchi belli e eleganti, come i Giardini Vaticani, Villa Borghese e tanti altri.
About Rome, apart from its history, I like that there are many beautiful and elegant parks, like the Vatican Garden, Villa Borghese and many more.
Se non sei mai venuto a Roma devi assolutamente venirci! Non per niente la chiamano “la città eterna”.
If you have never been to Rome you absolutely have to come! Not for nothing is it called “the eternal city”.
